Privacy policy

This page explains how the Slickmentor website (slickmentor.com) handles personal data. The site is operated by Iztok Podbornik (“we”, “us”). For any privacy-related question or to exercise your rights, contact us at iztok@slickmentor.com.

2. What data we collect, and why

We try to collect as little as possible. The site does not use advertising cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking.

• Contact form. When you submit the form, we receive the name, email address, phone number (optional), and message you provide. We use this to reply to your inquiry. Legal basis: your consent (you decide to submit) and our legitimate interest in responding to prospective clients (Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Aggregate analytics. Vercel Web Analytics records anonymous, aggregated visit counts (page views, country, device class, referrer) without cookies and without storing any identifier on your device. Visitor IP addresses are processed only briefly and are not stored. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding traffic patterns (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user-agent) for a short retention period for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies

The site does not set tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. The contact form may use a strictly-necessary anti-spam cookie or token at submission time, which is exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive.

4. Who else processes your data (sub-processors)

• Vercel Inc.(USA) — hosting and Web Analytics. Personal data is transferred to the United States under Vercel’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Resend (Resend Inc.)(USA) — delivers emails sent through the contact form. Standard Contractual Clauses apply. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Sanity (Sanity.io)(Ireland, EU) — content management system used to edit site copy. It does not process visitor personal data; it stores the public content shown on the site. See sanity.io/legal/privacy.
• Webicom d.o.o.(Slovenia, EU) — manages our domain DNS and email hosting. Email correspondence with Iztok flows through their mail servers.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. How long we keep your data

• Contact form messages and any follow-up email correspondence are kept while the inquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 24 months) to handle related follow-up. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
• Aggregate analytics data is retained by Vercel per their published policy.
• Server logs are retained briefly for security purposes (typically 30 days or less).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

7. Automated decision-making

We do not use any form of automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our processing practices change or when required by law. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the bottom of this page. We recommend reviewing it occasionally.
